Let Us Know How We Can Help You

If you have any questions about our products, our farm, or goats at Robles Ranch, take a look at our list of frequently asked questions. Everything you want to know about Robles Ranch is right here. However, if you still have questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

How do I buy a goat?

You can pay for a goat right here on the Robles-Ranch.com website. Goats will only be sold in good health conditions and once they leave my farm, it is the responsibility of the new owner to care for their new livestock appropriately. Please do not be offended if I ask a few questions about the potential home our farms kids may be going to - we just want to ensure they will have the best quality of life possible! In addition, all our goat kids are Dam raised so they will be available at weaning time.

Are deposits refundable?

Unfortunately, deposits are non-refundable as the point of the deposit was to hold a goat for your intended purchase. Therefore, if you decide not to purchase the goat, there could've been other potential buyers while it was being held and so the deposit is forfeited.

What is done to a kid before I buy it?

All kids will have their CD&T shot, Deworming, and ADGA Registration Processed. It is the new owner's responsbility to transfer the goat into their name. (There is a fee with ADGA for this) The kid will not be disbudded, meaning they will have horns. If you prefer to have the goat disbudded, you will need to pay for the goat in full and make arrangements for your veterinarian to perform the disbudding at your expense. We will work with you to coordinate the procedure.

Can I have just one goat?

Goats are herd animals and prefer a friend. It is recommended to have at least 2 goats in your herd.

Why would I want goats?

This breed of Nigerian Dwarf Goats are small and easy to manage. In addition they are extremely friendly and if you spend time with them, they make great buddies. Nigerian Dwarfs are dairy goats and after kidding, they can be milked.

They are pretty good at weed eating!

What are the basic needs for goats?

Water, Hay, Shelter from the elements, Loose Minerals, Baking Soda, and if you

choose to vaccinate - CDT Vaccine, Deworming & Copper Bolus

Goats also need their hooves trimmed every couple of months.

Do you have a return policy?

Please see the answer above regarding buying a goat BUT if you purchase a goat from Robles Ranch & find yourself in circumstances where you can no longer keep the goat, please contact us to see if we can either take the goat back (not buy) or help you place the goat on another farm. Otherwise, goats are sold in good health prior to leaving Robles Ranch and any other situations would be handled on a case by case basis.
